From October 7 to 9, the German Hotel School El Gouna proudly represented itself at HACE Hotel Expo 2025 in Cairo, one of Egypt’s largest and most influential hospitality and gastronomy trade fairs. The event brought together professionals, educators, students, and industry leaders from across the country, creating a dynamic environment focused on skills, innovation, and professional exchange within the hospitality sector.
For our school, being present at HACE Hotel Expo 2025 was more than just participation, it was a valuable opportunity for our trainees to experience the industry in a real, professional setting. One of the highlights of HACE Hotel Expo 2025 was the Live Cooking Competition organized by the Egyptian Chefs Association (ECA). This competition placed young culinary talents in a real-world environment where skill, focus, and teamwork were essential.

Mawada Mahmoud – MERIT Certificate at Best Chef of the Year 2025
One of the standout moments for the German Hotel School El Gouna was the participation of our trainee Mawada Mahmoud. She supported Chef Fekry from The Chedi as a competitor’s assistant in the Best Chef of the Year 2025 competition.
Working closely with an experienced chef in such a high-level competition requires discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to perform well under pressure. Mawada demonstrated strong commitment and professionalism throughout the event. Her contribution was officially recognized with a MERIT certificate, awarded in appreciation of her performance and dedication.
This recognition reflects not only her individual effort, but also the quality of training and mentorship that supports our students as they grow within the hospitality industry.
Ibrahim Mohamed – Bronze Medal at Young Chef of the Year 2025
Another proud achievement came from Ibrahim Mohamed, an apprentice at Casa Cook Hotel. Ibrahim participated in the Young Chef of the Year 2025 competition alongside Executive Chef Mohamed Omar.
Competing in this category requires confidence, focus, and strong teamwork. Ibrahim embraced the challenge and was rewarded with a bronze medal, a significant achievement at such a respected national competition. Winning a medal at HACE Hotel Expo 2025 marks an important milestone in his professional journey and highlights his potential as a future culinary professional.
